Twitter has been in the news a lot – with good reason.

It seems everyone is tweeting and twittering.

I’m fairly new to Twitter, (honestly I want to use it correctly or not at all!) but I have to admit I got caught up in the 1 Million Follower race between Ashton Kutcher and CNN.

Besides the fact that it is funny that 1 person can gain more audience than a global news network (yeah social media!), I’m not sure what will come of this most recent Twitter News.

Now, apparently even Oprah is Tweeting.

real Tweeters aren’t impressed. Tweet veterans like @LeoLaporte suggest, “Unfollowing anyone who mentions Kutcher, Oprah, or uses the word Internets. Satisfying. #unfollowfriday.”

Tweeters are also worried that the onslaught of Oprah’s soccer moms will cause “fail whale” failures on Twitter throughout today.  Here’s a little Fail Whale widget to show your support or lack-thereof.
