Is Kasey Kahne leaving RPM

Through out his career, Kasey Kahne has been with one team, RPM. THrough out his whole nascar career, Kahne has driven a dodge. Lately however, things have been making Kahne Question whether or not he will be driving the number 9 dodge next season.
It seems that things over at RPM haven’t been turning out to well. Kahne always said that there were difficulties and issues that could be easily fixed, but never were. He also is complaining about the teams management especially after its take over.
When asked if he was looking for any other opportunities, Kahne replied with a definitive, yes. So when other teams like Hendrick and EGR have all of there teams locked down for the 2010 season. Things aren’t going as well for RPM.

Johnson extends Contract with Hendrick MS

Ever since his rookie year, Jimmie has driven one kinda car, A Hendrick Chevy. Its something that he has said repeatedly that he is very proud of. And it looks like that pride is what has helped him secure a nother contract with Lowe’s as his Primary sponsor.

Originally, the contract he had was to run out at the end of the 2010 season, but hendrick has shown that they are very interested in keeping Johnson under their belt for a very long time, and the best part? Jimmie Doesn’t care, as long as he stays racing, he doesn’t mind.

This new contract extends him with he race chain through the 2013 season, and his crew chief, Chad Kanus is also expected to renew in a couple more weeks. This way, the two will be lock up together along with the other hendrick drivers who also are either getting new contracts, or staying on board.

Nascars End Of The Year Banquet

After nascars end of the year race a Home Stead Miami, Comedian Frank Caliendo will host Nascars End of the season Banquet in Las Vegas Nevada. The event will feature an award ceremony and lots of videos from the past season. This is the fourth year in a row that nascar has held this event in the sin city since they moved the event from new york which held the event for over 30 years. But ever since then, the event has been a big hit and is something everyone always talks about in the off season.
Plus, Frank Caliendo will be hosting the event again this year, and who doesn’t live frank? I’m sure he will be doing some great impressions of nascars famous drivers. I would really like to see a Richard petty impression. i think that would really be the hit of the party. All i have to say, is I can’t wait for December fourth to come.

The last race is Homestead

The last race of the year  is in Homestead, Florida where Jimmy Johnson has the lead over every one and if he finishes 25 or better he should win the series this year, but Mark Martin is right on his heels only 78 points down. If mark has a good finish and Jimmy wrecks or finishes worse then 25 then Mark Martin will be our new cup champ.Jeff Gordon is too far down in points so he will not make a difference at all. Kurt Busch  and Tony Stewart are in the same boat as Gordon they really will not make a difference . but next year they will all be in the hunt again.

Button Jumps ship and joins Mclaren

After Mondays shocking buyout of Brawn Gp, Button must have not like something about his new surroundings. Button confirmed yesterday that he had disbanded from Mercedes Gp in order to take a contract and Join Mclaren. Even though this new change might seem a little confusing for him, Button is sure he made the right choice. Well, weather or not he is happy, you can be sure that his form or racing crew isn’t happy. but i guess that happens when you leave right as all the new people are starting to come in.
One of the more interesting parts of this topic is the fact that Button is taking a pay cut in order to switch. But is guess if you really want something, you do what you need to do in order to accomplish you goals. This is precisely what Button is intending on doing next year as he takes his first start for Mclaren.

Brian Vickers

Brian Vickers had yet one more bad weekend in nascar out at Phoenix. He did not finish very well at all , he is in last place in the chase and there is only one race left and it is in Homestead ,Florida. Brian will race in the race , but it is not going to make any difference on how he does, he is still going to finish last. Next year Brian will be racing with Toyota again and he will be a huge threat to all of his fellow racers. Brian will for sure make the chase again next year so watch out he could be the next cup

Mercedes Buys out Brawn GP

Even though the formula one season has already ended, some team shifting has already been taking place. Perhaps one of the biggest of these is Mercedes Buying out Brawn GP. This development was not rumored to happen at all, but the buy is official. Mercedes has bought a 75% stake in the company and they will be making some big changes.
First, the name will be changed. The new team will be called Mercedes GP. Also, many of the crew will continue to work for the team, however it is unclear if the old drivers will continue to race for the team. Some think that Newer or more favored ones will be put in their place.
Still, this new buy is very shocking with no past news to speak or. SO it ought to be interesting to see weither or not this new Merk team has the right stuff on the track.

Roush Fenway Favored In Nascars Final Race

All though it has been an overall disappointing season for Roush Fenway this year. They are heavily favored to take the final checkered flag at Miami-Homestead. This is an area where the mighty Hendrick motor-sports has had difficulty being competitive. Instead, the fords rule this part of the world, winning the last five out of six races here.
Another factor that is contributing to a ford win here is all the cup series drama that has been taking place. Both the nascar truck series and the nascar nationwide series have been warped up. And all Jimmie Johnson really needs to do to secure his fourth title is to finish 25, even if Martin wins.
But don’t get me wrong here, I think that ford will be taking this race very seriously as they try to secure one more win, even if everyone is watching Mark Martin as he attempts to do the impossible for the second time in a row.

The Numbers Are Still With Martin

With the final nascar race drawing closer and closer, many of the fans are predicting Jimmie Johnson to claim his fourth nascar cup title. However, the numbers and statistics are still giving Mark Martin hope as the final nascar race draws closer. Martin and Johnson are really the only two drivers still competing for the title. Jeff Gorden is still in the race, but he will be eliminated as soon as the race starts. Other drivers were eliminated weeks ago.

Still, the changes that Martin will pull a come from behind win at homestead seems very unlikely. Even though it did come close to happening last week. Johnson would have to wreck early in the race and be put in the garage for the rest of the race. So, with Johnson seeming to have the luck of an Irish man, and Martin having no luck what so ever, It seems that this Championship is a one horse race.
