Jalali Hartman - CEO & Founder
Internet & Marketing Veteran
Jalali founded Yovia to provide an alternative to high-cost, inefficient, and misleading online advertising. With a belief that the best form of advertising is word-of-mouth, and a vision to enable talented writers, musicians and artists, Jalali established an expansive network of bloggers, artists, creative writers and social web sites, which today is Yovia.
Yovia is Jalali’s third successful startup. In 1998 he co-founded Infopia, a company that offers E-Commerce solutions for businesses selling products online. After helping Infopia become a market success, Jalali left to become one of the founding employees at MECLABS (Marketing Sherpa/Marketing Experiments), an online marketing company hired by large media corporations to boost their subscription rates. During his time at MECLABS, Jalali served as Director of Strategy and helped grow the organization to 25 employees and increased subscription rates for clients like the New York Times by 250%.
Over the past 11 years Jalali has held roles in sales, marketing, product development and production. He has also been hired as a strategic consultant for the New York Times, Reuters, TheStreet, Encyclopedia Britannica, and Insurance.com.
Jalali holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is named on 3 patents, and was awarded the prestigious eBay Innovation Award in 2004 and 2005 for inventing “Marketplace Manager”, a platform that allows online merchants to sell from multiple sites at once.
Jalali is an avid outdoorsman and amateur musician and filmmaker.

Mike Nolan – COO
Radio Veteran & Entrepreneur
A former broadcaster, Mike sold his group of radio stations in 2000 to focus attention on the online automotive publishing company he started in 1996. After growing the company to a network of 450 automobile dealerships and hundreds of newspaper partnerships nationwide, he sold the company to CarTruckTrader.com in 2006.
Mike has nurtured several other ventures, including providing angel funding and leadership to Moving Records, a music industry startup, seeing it through to acquisition by a publically traded company. Mike also led the series A funding effort for a green manufacturing firm and has consulted for automotive, jewelry, manufacturing and health care companies.
Mike holds an MBA from the Melbourne Business School in Australia, and has lectured at Minnesota State and WHU in Koblenz, Germany. He has led charitable campaigns for United Way and the Educare foundation, and has served on numerous non-profit boards. Mike is currently working with Eden Campus in South Africa to develop the world's first green business school.
An avid traveler, scuba diver and pilot, Mike recently ventured around the world for six months with his wife and three teenage children. His wife is currently writing a book about their adventures, and his daughter is working on a book entitled “How to Travel with Your Parents.” Every other Sunday, he and his wife host a jam session in their home studio.

Michelle Amos - Director Partner Services
Optimization Veteran
Michelle is the queen of multi-tasking. She is often seen talking on the phone, emailing, and jotting notes around the office. She is the glue that holds Yovia’s brand partners together. Michelle is an analytical thinker who holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Jacksonville University. Maybe it is that analytical mind and immunity to old-school marketing that has made her so successful. Michelle has been instrumental in the launch of numerous organic campaigns, including work for the New York Times, Prevention Magazine, and the Girl Gamer Squad. She also has an uncanny ability to build blogosphere buzz.
Michelle is always on the run, which is probably why running is also her favorite activity. Michelle runs several miles every day and competes in monthly 10Ks. She spends the rest of her free time hanging out with her two year old son.
